"My daughter chose Tone Dale because she wanted a wedding weekend not just a wedding day. I pointed out all the logistical and organisational problems that could bring. But I needn't have worried as Peter sat and talked it through with us on our first visit. He patiently discussed all the issues and explained the options. He and we knew it wasn't going to be a 'budget' affair but at no time did we feel Peter was upselling us, in fact he gave us advice on where we could save money for example sourcing the wine ourselves and that helped our budget go further.
We went back for a couple more sessions with Peter before the 'Big Day'. He took so much of the stress out of it by helping, guiding and ultimately taking responsibility.
How did it go? Well we had a great informal night for 25 of us the night before .. and cooked for ourselves. On the Big Day we had over 80 and everything went like clockwork .. Peter was quietly there in the background constantly making sure everything happened when and how it should. And it did.
The Sunday we had a BBQ for 60 and Peter sourced the caterers for our group .. the food was outstanding (as was the wedding meal) .. we played croquet, rounders and lit braziers. Partied into the early hours.
The accommodation at Tone Dale can cater for about 30, in a range of rooms, the downstairs area is perfect for chatting quietly, competing in the games room and dancing. The house itself has both character and a real sense of family tradition. The large living rooms and lots of lawns meant we could let off any steam that we had left!
The whole weekend was like a giant house party but without any of the hassle.
We can't recommend the house, the grounds or the organisation too highly.
It had to be a weekend to remember .. it was and all the memories are very happy ones!"
