Midlands House
Midlands House is a lovely, newly renovated farmhouse for 18 guests, with plenty to do at the house and in the surrounding area.
The owners run the adjacent activity school. Theme parks, shooting, quad bikes – you name it, it’ll be in the surrounding area.
Availability & Prices
Midlands House is particularly suitable for groups looking for lots to do, Hen and Stag groups too.
There are lots of activities (and a spa hotel) a stones throw from the property. Corporates, looking for away day fun, will find this an idea base too.
A house for people who like their time to be action packed, where your accommodation is clean, comfortable, mainly en-suite and newly refurbished (with some entertainment facilities), but where you want to be out and about, with great attractions close at hand or within easy travelling distance.
A fantastic location twenty minutes from Birmingham and very convenient for transport links, by rail or car.
Social spaces
The open plan kitchen and dining area are spacious, light and airy. These rooms look over the garden and the bi-fold doors from the dining area give an indoor meets outdoor blend, particularly with the light wells above the table. All guests can sit comfortably around the spacious table, lingering over dinner, as the evening light fades.
The kitchen area is well equipped for a big group and spacious enough to get plenty of your friends involved in the cooking!
Leading off from the dining area, the snug is a small sitting room with a wood burner. The sofa converts into a small sofa bed for more sleeping accommodation, to bring total sleeping capacity to 20.
Bedrooms
This house packs a punch with 7 en-suite bedrooms, 8 bedrooms in total, all nearly renovated, with stylish contemporary fittings.
2 bedrooms are on the ground floor, with en-suites, handy for any guests preferring not to use stairs. The Webley Suite has an en-suite shower and a freestanding bath in the room – giving a boutique hotel experience. (click here to see the floor plan).
On the first floor, accessed by 2 staircases from downstairs, but with the potential for the bedrooms to interlink on the first floor, if you need them to, there is a double bedroom, king and twin bedroom. The Browning suite has a small kitchenette. If you’re an early riser this could be ideal for your first coffee of the day and a small oven to warm your croissants, if you can’t wait for breakfast downstairs.
Fun spaces
In the games room, check out the pool table for a game or two, comfy spectating from the bar stools while watching your friends playing darts – score a bullseye anyone?
The terrace outside the house is a sheltered spot for casual socialising with your friends and outdoor dining. On balmy evenings, cook on the barbecue and enjoy the quiet garden
An outstanding bonus of this house is the nearby leisure facilities (see During Your Stay below).
Garden and hot tub
The hot tub is beside the house, lit from above with pretty fairy lights. An ideal place to ease your aching muscles from a full on day of activities, or if you still have some energy the garden has a flat lawn for games.
During your stay
On your doorstep a shooting school for clays and lasers, a quad biking centre and a spa hotel.
Drayton Manor Theme Park. A great attraction stretching over 60 acres, with over 100 rides and attractions to thrill all of your group.
Snowdome. Brilliant, all year round fun, in the artificial snow. All abilities within your group can take part.
Cadbury World. Take a fascinating tour of the factory and learn about this iconic brand. Then after all the talk of chocolate, stock up in the shop and indulge!
Sealife. The mysteries of our oceans brought to life. Close up views of exotic, multi coloured species, their cousins from our UK waters and so much more. A wonderful day trip.
