Our family birthday get together at the very special Tatham House, was fantastic. There were 11 adults and 7 children, aged between 6 and 11 and nobody was bored for a moment! The swimming pool was really popular with everyone, indoors and heated but the whole wall slides back so it's also just like being outside, and it is as big as the photos show. The Cinema room was a hit with the children, while adults played table tennis or pool, Lilliput football table, Tennis on the full size court outside, or sat glowing in the Hot Tub. The house had everything and the bedrooms, all ensuite, were magnificent. Smart snugs and lounges to relax in, and a dining room big enough for 22 to eat together, linked to the kitchen meant no-one felt out of it while  preparing food and drink. The setting is also magnificent, with an orchard and mature trees and lawns to walk in and large patio with seating with a backdrop of the part wooded Quantock Hills. It is simply a marvellous house in a marvellous setting, and The Big House Co. were helpful, friendly and a pleasure to speak to and I wouldn't hesitate to call them first, should there be  next time, and would very happily go back to Tatham House, a very special place. Wow! What can I say?! The best UK stay I’ve had. So well facilitated and equipped. The pool was a huge hit with the younger members of our trip , as was the movie room! Bedrooms with en-suites were beautifully decorated and vast in size. The surrounding grounds that included the tennis court and orchard were perfect for the warm weather. I can’t fault Tatham House or communications/support from The Big House Company from beginning to end. We had a family get together to celebrate a special birthday whose members were from a one year old to seventy plus. The house itself was immaculate and we particularly enjoyed that every one of the 10 bedrooms had its own bathroom. The facilities in the house were fantastic, including a well equipped kitchen so we could cook our own meals and on one night were catered for by one of the chefs recommended by the big house company. There was plenty of room for us all to sit around a huge dining table.  We could also comfortably sit in any of the three lounges. There was also what the children referred to as a ‘secret room’ which was the library! Downstairs in the cellar was  a cinema room which the children thoroughly enjoyed not least that it was cool and extremely comfortable. There was also a pool table, table football, and a table tennis table - plenty to keep everybody entertained and happy. We were exceptionally fortunate with the weather, which was hot and sunny all week. This allowed us to make full use of the beautiful grounds from the tennis court to the huge garden area, perfect for outdoor games and sports included including kite flying! The highlight for us was the indoor heated swimming pool with pool floats and swimming towels provided. What’s a treat! The attention to detail was excellent in the house and gardens was excellent. The staff responded promptly to any queries and even sent on clothing which one member of the party left behind. I came here to celebrate my 40th birthday, and it was so perfect. The whole Big House Co team were easy to communicate with and meeting Ben at the house he really gave us a grand tour. Tatham House near Taunton is a lovely house with great facilities. The en suite bedrooms are all very good and the living rooms, kitchen and dining area perfect. We enjoyed the indoor pool, the tennis court, the hot tub etc. The views from the house are particularly beautiful and the grounds extensive.

Our family of 20+ stayed at Tatham House and had a wonderful time from start to finish. The property was gorgeous with everything we needed with extra plus points for the on tap swimming pool, hot tub and tennis courts :) All communication - from emails to our in-person welcome - was top notch in terms of efficiency and friendliness. A perfect venue for our family to celebrate being together. Something for everybody aged 13yrs to 82 years. Warm, comfortable and plenty of space for the maximum of 22. A great blend of luxury and homeliness, formality and time to chill. Extremely well equipped and facilities for all to enjoy. We would love to return.
