Availability & Prices
A delightful blend of Cornish character with slated walls, exposed beams and charming features, skilfully blended by the architect owner into a contemporary, stylish holiday home.
A stone’s throw from Padstow, with all that has to offer, this property is peacefully situated in the heart of the nearby hamlet of St Issey. Enjoy a short stroll to the village pub, or enjoy the coffee shop – then make your plans for a day on the beach, or a boat trip perhaps?
Social spaces
The kitchen is a wonderfully large space for everyone to get involved in cooking – no excuses! A chef’s dream with 4 ovens, a pizza oven and Braii (barbecue grill). The woodturning stove adds a cosy feature and when lit casts a warm glow over the original stonework.
Adjacent to the kitchen the dining area is light filled from large bi-folds, perfect for folding back and enjoying the sunshine. There’s an outdoor kitchen and dining too, just a few steps above the courtyard.
Bedrooms
There are 12 beautiful bedrooms, each has its own bathroom, either ensuite or close by – very high-spec and contemporary. The bedrooms are decorated in soft and inviting colours giving you a peaceful, relaxing space. Add in the luxury beds and you’ll be fully recharged by morning.
There’s plenty of flexibility with the bed set up and a couple of extras if you arranged to have extra guests.
Fun Spaces
There’s plenty of room to relax and enjoy time with your group. The fire pit area is perfect for early evening drinks, or indoors on deep, squashy sofas in the panelled sitting room – enjoy the contemporary artwork too. The children get their own playroom with an entrance to the garden.
The bi-folds from the dining area lead out to the terrace and up to the sun lawn and outdoor dining area. Ideally placed for the Braa and close to the outdoor kitchen.
Hot tub & garden
After a day at the beach, enjoy the relaxation of the wood-fired hot tub, tucked to the side of the terrace. The garden is a sheltered, sun trap and the Mediterranean planting gives a subtle contrast to the ancient stone walls of the house. An added bonus is the secure bike storage at the house – we’d recommend bringing your bikes and enjoying a day cycling the Camel Trail, that snakes beside the picturesque estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge and beyond.
Out and About
If you’re feeling active, head to The Tide Climbing Centre in St Issey — Cornwall’s biggest indoor climbing facility. Perfect for all ages and abilities, it’s a place to try bouldering, rope climbing, or even book a coaching session. And if climbing isn’t for you, the cosy café makes the perfect spectator spot.
For something outdoorsy, the famous Camel Trail is one of the UK’s best-loved routes. This 18-mile, traffic-free path follows a former railway line from Padstow to Bodmin, passing through Wadebridge en route. Hire bikes locally, pack a picnic, and enjoy birdwatching or a leisurely riverside wander.
North Cornwall is a walker’s paradise. From peaceful Churchtown walks right outside the door, to the ancient Saints’ Way pilgrimage trail that cuts through St Issey, you’re spoiled for choice. A short drive takes you to the South West Coast Path, where clifftop views and dramatic seascapes await at Padstow, Trevone, and beyond.
In just 10 minutes you can be in Wadebridge, a delightful town with independent shops, delis, cafés, and riverside strolls. Visit on market day for an extra buzz. While you’re in the area, why not explore:
