Tone Dale House & Stables sleeps up to 31 guests in total. The Main House has 11 bedrooms sleeping up to 21 guests and The Stables provides five further bedrooms sleeping up to 10 guests. All bookings enjoy exclusive use of the property.

Booking Tone Dale House is simple. Start by checking availability on The Big House Co website or contact Victoria or Beverley to discuss your preferred dates and group size. We’ll confirm the booking details, explain the payment schedule and answer any questions before your reservation is confirmed.

A deposit of a third of the house hire is required to secure your booking. The amount will show on your booking form and your booking confirmation. Once received, your dates are reserved exclusively for your group.

The remaining balance is due 12 weeks before your arrival date and we’ll include the date and amount on your receipt. We’ll also send a reminder before it falls due.

Yes. A refundable security deposit of £1000 (hen & stag groups £1500) is required 4 weeks before your stay. It is returned after the house is cleaned, provided the property is left in accordance with the booking conditions.

Yes. We accept bank transfer and most major debit and credit cards (not Amex). Please contact us if you have any questions about payment methods.

Our cancellation policy forms part of the booking terms and conditions. If you need to cancel, please let The Big House Co in writing as soon as possible Please refer to our booking conditions for further information. We recommend suitable travel insurance.

Yes. Please contact The Big House Co and we’ll check availability. As the property is frequently occupied, viewings are subject to availability and usually take place on a Thursday afternoon.

Tone Dale House is located in Wellington, Somerset, just a few minutes from Junction 26 of the M5. Full directions and arrival information will be provided before your stay.

Arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am weekdays and 4pm on Sundays.. If you would like to request an earlier check-in or later departure, please contact The Big House Co before your stay and we’ll do our best to help where possible.

Yes. Tone Dale House offers ample private parking within the grounds for multiple vehicles, making it convenient for larger groups arriving separately.

Taunton is 7 miles away and has a mainline station with trains direct to London Paddington (1hr 45 mins) and Birmingham and beyond.

All the major supermarkets deliver to Tone Dale House but deliveries should be arranged after your arrival time as there is no one available to accept deliveries beforehand.

Tone Dale House is well equipped for self-catering. Bring your food and drinks, personal toiletries and any items for your celebration. Bed linen, towels and hot tub towels are provided; please bring a travel cot and bedding if required.

Tone Dale House offers 16 comfortable bedrooms when booked with The Stables, sleeping up to 31 guests. The Main House has 11 bedrooms sleeping up to 21 guests and The Stables provides five further bedrooms sleeping up to 10 guests. Many beds can be set up as either super king doubles or twins.

Tone Dale House has an excellent self-catering kitchen with plenty of preparation space and two elegant dining rooms. The Red Dining Room seats up to 31 guests, making it ideal for celebrations and group meals. The Breakfast Room is ideal for smaller groups or for casual breakfasts where people come and go.

Yes. Complimentary Wi‑Fi is available throughout the property.

Yes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. We ask that you don’t allow your dog in bedrooms or on furniture, out of consideration for other groups. Please contact The Big House Co before booking if you wish to bring a dog. There is a small extra charge.

Yes. Free standing decorations are fine. It’s not possible to attach any decorations to walls or woodwork because of damage to the paintwork. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Yes. Guests are asked to be considerate about loud noise outdoors after 11pm. If you are playing loud music after 11pm in the house please shut windows and doors.

Yes. Your booking information includes the house rules covering care of the property, noise, pets and departure arrangements.

No. Tone Dale House does not have a swimming pool. If a pool is important for your group, The Big House Co can recommend alternative properties.

Yes. Tone Dale House is set within approximately four acres of private gardens and grounds. Outside badminton and croquet are available to enjoy. Please supervise children because there is an unfenced waterway.

Yes. Outdoor seating and a charcoal barbecue are available for guests to enjoy Please bring charcoal if you’re planning on having a barbecue. During drought, if there is a fire risk warning in place in the local area, barbecues won’t be possible.

There are 2 ground floor bedrooms in the Stables and 1 shower-room. If your group requires ground floor accommodation or has accessibility requirements, please contact The Big House Co before booking so we can advise on the layout.

Yes. Tone Dale House has a working fireplace in the Drawing Room which adds to the character of this historic Georgian house. Logs are provided. Please follow the guidance provided regarding their use.

There is no tennis court. Guests can enjoy the games room and extensive gardens for informal outdoor games.

Your stay includes exclusive use of the property and grounds, including hot tub, bedrooms, cinema/party room, dining rooms, games room, drawing room, well equipped kitchen and all bedrooms and bathrooms.

Before you leave Tone Dale House, please ensure the house is left in a tidy condition. Please place rubbish and recycling in the appropriate bins, finish your final washing up and close all windows and doors before you depart. Our housekeeping team will take care of the full clean after your stay.

We understand that accidents can occasionally happen. If anything is damaged during your stay, please let The Big House Co know as soon as possible. Promptly reporting any damage allows us to resolve matters quickly and fairly. Where appropriate, the cost of repairs or replacement may be deducted from the security deposit in accordance with the booking conditions.
