Booking
The deposit on booking is a third of the house hire. The balance is due 12 weeks before arrival and the cautionary deposit (see below) 3 weeks before arrival.
Yes, we take credit cards (not Amex), debit cards or bank transfer.
At Tysoe Manor this is £2000, due 3 weeks before you arrive. It’s refunded once the house is cleaned after your stay, less any damages.
We have a £25 booking fee when you book. The house hire includes everything for your self catering stay. There are no extra charges for cleaning, heating, bedding, towels etc.
Similar to travelling outside the UK, we advise this, in case of unforeseen events that might effect your stay. Please ensure you have read our cancellation policy before booking.
We are happy to welcome mature hen groups, but please contact us in advance of booking to discuss your group, age range and plans for your stay. Stag groups are not allowed at Tysoe Manor.
The maximum number of guests at the house, day or night is 22.
There are some internal steps at the house. Please contact us if you have any specific needs.
Tysoe Manor is not licensed for weddings, or available for wedding receptions. However, a casual, house party weekend for house guests only (up to 22), is a lovely way to celebrate your special occasion. The nearest registry office is 15 miles away in Warwick.
PRE-ARRIVAL
Yes, please. At least 3 weeks before you arrive is ideal. Some of the beds can be super king or twin.
All the major supermarkets deliver to Tysoe Manor. Please arrange it for after your arrival, as there won’t be anyone at the house to take it in for you, prior to your arrival.
You are welcome to bring up to 2 well behaved dogs. Please arrange this before your stay. There is a charge of £15 per dog per night. Dogs are not allowed upstairs, or on furniture and must be supervised while in the garden and cleaned up after.
There is a warm dog wash in the parking area.
These beds give lots of versatility. They can be zipped together to form a super king bed or left as twin beds.
We can configure the beds to provide 15 separate beds.
We can recommend chefs to come and cook for you at the house. Experience has shown us that it’s best for you to arrange it direct. Then you can discuss menu options, dietary requirements and budget with the chef.
If you’d like to find your own chef, that’s fine. Please ensure that you have sent the owner the public liability insurance prior to the chef cooking at the house.
ARRIVING AT TYSOE MANOR
Generally arrival time is 4pm and departure time on Sunday is 4pm, weekdays 11am. If you have different requirements please get in touch, there may be flexibility.
When you book, we will introduce you by email to Medina, the owner. She will arrange your arrival and show round by a member of her team.
Banbury station is about a 20 minute drive from Tysoe Manor, with direct trains to London Marylebone.
Birmingham airport is 27 miles away.
WHAT’S AT THE TYSOE MANOR
There are 2 ponds and a small stream feeding into one of them. One pond is in the rear garden between the house, pool and tennis court. The second pond is behind the stable block at the driveway entrance. Both are unfenced and children and dogs need to be supervised in the garden at all times.
Hand wash soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms.
In the kitchen a starter pack size of – breakfast teabags, ground coffee, sugar, herbs, salt & pepper (in grinders), olive oil & balsamic vinegar.
Linen napkins are provided. The dining table is polished mahogany – please use the table mats provided to avoid damage. There are also mats for the breakfast room table and the red dining room.
Yes we do. For each guest there is a bath towel and hand towel. Pool towels are located in the Pool House.
Definitely. The kitchen has all you need to cook for a large group.
There is a nespresso machine that takes original capsules (please bring with you) and cafetières for ground coffee.
There is a Sonos music player in the kitchen.
Yes. It is a beautiful piano in the drawing room.
There is 1 cot and 1 high chair. Please let the owner know which room you would like it in. Please bring your babies favourite bedding.
There is a gas barbecue near the pool house.
There are long tables and chairs to seat up to 22 guests for dining. Garden chairs are grouped together on the lawns around the garden to enjoy the views and loungers by the pool.
In addition to the swimming pool (open May – Sept) and tennis court, you can enjoy the large football pitch, croquet, and basketball (there’s a hoop on the tennis court).
DURING YOUR STAY
Fireworks and sky lanterns are not allowed under any circumstances.
Only if your decorations are free standing. It’s not possible to attach anything to walls or paintwork as it can pull the paint off and there would be a charge for repainting.
Yes absolutely. The dining room is a wonderful space for a enjoying dinner together and can seat all your group on one table. The red dining room is a cosy space for smaller groups to dine.
The WIFI works well in most areas of the property. The code will be available for you at the house.
Not at the moment, our insurance doesn’t allow it.
We ask that you are considerate with outdoor noise after 11pm, as it can travel to houses in the locality.
No, this is not allowed. There are smoke detectors throughout the house.
No. This is a statutory regulation. The house also has a fire alarm which will be set off.
There is a smart tv in the TV Room and in the Gallery.
The Peacock in Oxhill is a lovely 2 mile walk from the house, mainly across fields.
DEPARTURE
We ask that you empty the kitchen bins and put out all recycling. Please leave the kitchen surfaces tidy, put the last of your washing up in the dishwasher.
Please leave the rest of the house tidy – there is no need to strip the beds.
Please also ensure the aircon is turned off and all external doors locked.
On Sundays it’s up till 4pm and weekdays 11am.
