Weddings At Widcombe Grange
Widcombe Grange is a very special property, that feels like “your special place for the weekend” rather than a hotel. It’s delightful for small weddings and has an ideal setting for weddings up to 180.
The Wedding Ceremony
Your wedding ceremony can be held outside in the pretty gazebo with up to 180 guests watching from beside the lake, at the front of the house. Humanist ceremonies can be held anywhere within the grounds and there are plenty of lovely places to choose from.
If the weather isn’t kind, or during the winter months we bring you inside. Our beautifully converted Coach House with stone walls and original beams can hold up to 150 guests. Or for a more intimate ceremony, choose the cosy living room inside the house for up to 30 guests.

The Arrangements
We want to help you make your country house wedding as individual as you are.
Peter, the homeowner can provide any advice you may need all the way through the planning process, for example with your entertainment, flowers, cakes and fun activities for you and your guests to enjoy during your stay.
Marquees, Tippees and Tents
Help is at hand to arrange marquee or tipee hire, priced according to size and to include tables, chairs and lighting. From classic marquees and tipees to Bedouin tents – choose what you like to create the feel that you are looking for. They are several delightful locations for a marquee at Widcombe Grange. You are welcome to make your own arrangements too.
Food & Fizz
Whatever style of food and drink you’re looking for, we can put you in touch with some amazing Wedding Caterers (don’t have link to this, it’s only 2) who will work with you to provide whatever style of food you love – classically formal, hog roasts, sharing platters, barbeques – to reflect your personal preferences and the mood you want to create. Want to bring your own caterer? That’s fine too – subject to the necessary insurance.
The Party
At Widcombe Grange you can let your imagination run free, allow your wedding to reflect your personality. It really is up to you.
Peter, the owner oversaw over a thousand weddings during his time at Kensingtons Roof Gardens. There’s very little he can’t transform into reality and a chat with him early in your planning stage, is worth its weight in gold.
You can party into the night in the Coach House, with its inbuilt lighting options – go pretty fairy lights or funky disco. We can recommend bands, DJs, bar providers and entertainers. Then, when you need to refuel your guests later in the evening, how about a burger van or kebabs.
The beauty of a weekend house party wedding is that you and 24 guests stay here and enjoy the rest of the weekend – perhaps a barbecue and some relaxing around the pool, enjoying the memories of the day before. There’s no frantic packing up the day after your wedding, just like it would be in your own home.
